Overview and Responsibilities
The Department is seeking a highly skilled and energetic .NET Developer to work in an Agile team in one of our high-profile software development projects. This is a fast-paced environment, and we require an enthusiastic, professional Developer who has experience working on large, complex projects. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to use leading edge technology and will be responsible for building, developing and maintaining code in a large enterprise system.
Other responsibilities include:
- Participate in requirements analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
- Write clean, maintainable and scalable code following Departmental standards and practices
- Work collaboratively with team members
- Test and deploy applications and systems
- Improve and maintain existing software
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

Essential Criteria
1. Demonstrated industry-based knowledge and experience in the delivery of complex large-scale applications and web services using Microsoft technology stacks including:
•.NET Core / .NET 5,6,
•Reactive frontend frameworks including React, Vue or Angular
•SQL Server 2014 and later,
•Experience with Visual Studio 2019 / 2022, Visual Studio Code or Jetbrains Rider
•Experience with Azure DevOps
•Microsoft Web API / REST Architecture
•Modern JavaScript frameworks
•CSS frameworks including SASS
•CI/CD Practices
•Experience with PowerShell automation 60%
2. Solid working knowledge of SQL, with a demonstrated ability to code queries of varying complexity. 15%
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively use communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships in a challenging IT environment. 10%
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a flair for creating innovative solutions. 7%
5. Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolsets. 7%
